\ncustomer: well i’m looking everywhere and i can’t see anything that turns this off. it says “osd” on it.
\nme: ok well just look for the button on your monitor.
\ncustomer: by monitor do you mean my keyboard?
\nme: no, i mean your monitor, your screen.
\ncustomer: oh well the only thing on my screen is the blue thing.
\nme: under the screen part, on your monitor, at the bottom, you should see a couple of buttons there.
\ncustomer: oh i see there are five buttons there is this ok?
\nme: yes just look at those and you should have an off button.
\ncustomer: i really need this working i wish i had never got the internet through you people.
\nme: well this isn’t a problem with the internet, this isn’t even a problem with your computer, it’s just your monitor’s menu.
\ncustomer: what do you mean monitor? you keep saying that. do you mean that little white box you folks gave me with all the lights on it?
\nme: no, your monitor is your screen.
\ncustomer: i’m moving the mouse and it won’t do anything.
\nme: you don’t need to use your mouse to do this just the buttons on your monitor.
\ncustomer: there’s a plus and a minus should i use these?
\nme: sure, give it a try.
\ncustomer: how many times do i press them?
\nme: i honestly couldn’t tell you it depends on your monitor.
\ncustomer: do you even work with computers?
\nme: yes, but this is not even a computer problem. it depends on your monitor. they’re all different. you just need to turn the menu off.
\ncustomer: well what can i do?
\nme: just play with it for a while and it’ll go away.
\ncustomer: all right, fine. bye.
